Recently another lost city was found
outside the Valley of the Kings in Egypt,
a city where lived mothers seeking marriage
for their daughters 3,000 years ago
just like in Jane Austen’s time 200 years ago
was there a story of marriage in Star Trek
or Star Wars or only spaceships beamed up
seeking places to inhabit, avoiding destruction
nowadays daughters make their decisions,
ignoring marriage if they prefer to live
life on their own without dismay.
